AFL players nowadays take more dives than soccer players. I’ve watched the past few Socceroos matches & the Australian soccer players don’t take dives. AFL footballers are doing it all the time. My view is that is a fine line between the two rugby codes as to which players are the toughest - neither of the rugby codes players dive. I’m sorry to say but AFL comes a lontg last in this category…..Do you agree?

How can i prevent my ears hurting when scuba diving?

My boyfriend has been scuba diving for a number of years, and i’ve recently decided to start.
The problem is, after going down only to about 2 metres, the pressure in my ears is really strong and painful.
I have the same problem when flying, and have to use ear plugs which relieve pressure. There is nothing wrong with my ears, i have been the doctors,
Does anyone know if there are any ear plugs, similar to the ones i use for flying, that relieve pressure in the ears? or could i possibly use my flying ear plugs to go scuba diving?
I cant hold my breath and make my ears “pop” thats part of the problem.

The suunto D9. I was at the store and I was asking info about the D9. I didn’t really needed one but I was just amazed by the looks of the D9. Anyway, that was long time ago, about a year I guess. Then, my intstructor told me that the compass on the D9 is crap. Did they improve it?
And yes my instructor has one, he told me he had to send it back for repair. He told me at the time that he wanted a refund, but idk what happened in the end

I am having to pinch myself when I think about that event.
If I was standing on a river bank and saw a little boy drowning, i don’t care what role I might be trying to fulfill, i would take my shoes and socks off and dive in.
Wouldn’t you?
They may have radiod for help, but there were two of them!
Am I the only one who cannot get my head round this?
Police officer, fireman, nurse, or ordinary Joe Public, does it matter who you are - surely you dive in? Don’t you?
I am very keen to hear from people on this.
