How do you download video off of TiVo to save them onto a computer?

My diving team has a camera that is connected to a TV which is hooked up to a TiVo box so that after your dive, you can watch how it looked.
We have alot of funny videos where people have smacked or fell off the board and I would like to put them my computer so we can always have these videos. Also, I want to put them on YouTube 
How could I transfer these videos to my laptop?
